Israel Stops the Deportation by Yahel Galili, Israel

The Israeli government set April 1st as the date for the deportation of African assylum seekers (male bachelors over 18, with other groups stated for deportation in the future).
Israel’s Supreme Court has ruled this deportation illegal due to the danger these refugees face in the countries that agreed to take them in, so for now the deportation has been postponed to an undecided date.
Tens of thousands of people came yesterday to Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square to demand that the deportation won’t happen at all:
